Marco, the feline art critic.
With over 30 years of experience in the art world, I’ve developed a deep and evolving practice grounded in both fine art and design. I have a 4 year Honours BFA in Visual Art (York University) as well as a Graphic Design Diploma (Humber College). After retiring from a fulfilling career in commercial art, I now devote myself fully to painting.
My work explores expressive, imagined landscapes inspired by a strong emotional connection to nature. Guided by intuition, I create abstract compositions that reflect the energy, mystery, and rhythms of the natural world.
In my process, I work with elements like colour, line, tone, texture, and shape to build rich, layered surfaces. Techniques such as scratching, thick paint application, and subtle refinements allow me to convey depth and movement. My goal is to evoke a sense of place and emotion — inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with both their inner landscapes and the beauty of the world around them.
My work has been exhibited in Canada and the US in juried shows, and in public and private galleries.
